BRITISH CHART TOPPER HEADING TO PETERHEAD

The team behind ‘Peterhead Scottish Week’ are delighted to announce the return of “Live on the Links”. Tonight [21:00 27-06-2024] the full line up of acts confirmed for the event were unveiled, with one act in particular being known as the voice of a generation.

Peterhead’s very own outdoor concert featuring British chart topper and 90’s legend, Heather Small [the voice of M People] bringing us hit after hit.

As part of ‘M People’, Heather Small enjoyed ten UK Top 10 singles, and reached number one in 1997 when she contributed to Lou Reed’s song “Perfect day” for Children in Need. The artist has sold over 11 million records and currently enjoying a UK tour in 2024.

Our head line act will be the amazing Red Hot Chilli Pipers, back in Peterhead to get the festival spirit going. The rockin’ bagpipers have enjoyed global success with tours from Europe to the United States and beyond!

Completing our line up for this year will be country star Hannah Anders, local talent Catriona Molver and DJ Dav of Flowtation Music.

“Live on the Links” is due to take place on Wednesday 24th July, as part of the 62nd Peterhead Scottish Week. The event was held two years ago, when The Red Hot Chilli Pipers ere also head line act. Peterhead, in the North East of Scotland, hosts the biggest and longest running weeklong gala in the country, known as ‘Scottish Week’. It remains the only town in Scotland to host a ‘Scottish Week’ uninterrupted since the first event held in 1962.
